*Ozanam Orientation and The Home Visit is required for all Vincentians within one year of joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Ozanam Orientation
Whether you’ve been a Vincentian for two days or two decades, Ozanam Orientation offers you an opportunity to be inspired, informed, refreshed and renewed in what it means to be a member of The Society and how that membership is to be lived in the Conference and everyday life.
The Home Visit
The Home Visit is a very important part of SVdP’s work with its clients. There are specific procedures and guidelines to adhere to as a Home Visitor. In this class, Vincentians will become familiar with the proper way to conduct a Home Visit, from safety protocol to documentation. This part of the day will include an open discussion about home visits.
Ground Rules for Visitation
There are a set of basic ground rules that should be kept in mind while visiting our neighbors in need. This interactive session will review them, help you understand them and discuss ways you can put them into practice. If you have already learned the basics of home visits, this is the workshop for you!
